There are several -- I'm not sure if the ones I'll suggest are those you mentioned you don't want, but here it goes. Some opt-in emailing list brokers include:

However, The best way is to advertise in ezines whose readers logically fit into your target market -- whether or not they are the same is not important. For example, if people who like New Age music also like, say, topics related to spirituality or metaphysics, then try to get in those ezines as well.

I'm sure there are tons of ezines, discussion lists and so on focusing on New Age Music specifically, or on a subscribership consisting of people who enjoy New Age Music -- while not targeting that specific niche directly. Fish where the fish swim.

Nevertheless, an economical alternative is the single, special offer mailing. For example, some ezine publishers offer "solo," exclusive mailings to their list. You can buy "advertorials" distributed to an entire private list -- no lists actually exchange hands. Another way is to post your message through "safe lists" with some of the many mailing list management sites (like
http://eGroups.com, http://ListBot.com, http://Topica.com, http://www.Sparklist.com/, etc).
